Bebel Gilberto - All in One (CD)

Facts Bebel Gilberto is in love. And the warmth and sweetness of that newfound romance can be felt throughout ALL IN ONE, her seductive debut for Verve. Known for her adventurous blends of Brazilian, European and electronic pop styles, Gilberto continues to blur musical boundaries while allowing the sensual rhythms of her native Brazil dominate the production courtesy of Carlinhos Brown, Didi Gutman (Brazilian Girls), Mark Ronson, Daniel Jobim and John King of the acclaimed Dust Brothers. The album includes a beautiful duet with Daniel Jobim, grandson of Antonio Carlos Jobim on "Bim Bom," a song first recorded by Gilberto's father Joco Gilberto, who, along with her mother singer Mizcha, continues to be a huge influence on her music. Other standouts include the Carmen Miranda classic "Chica Chica Boom Chic," "Sun is Shining" by Bob Marley and the personal and beautiful title track "All in One" by Gilberto along with Cesar Mendes.
