Common - Resurrection

Facts Originally released in 1994, Common's critically acclaimed second studio album, Resurrection, is a foundational mid-90s hip-hop classic that showcases the artist's intricate wordplay and sharp storytelling over jazzy, soulful production. The album is anchored by it's legendary lead single, "I Used to Love H.E.R.," a brilliant metaphorical critique tracking the commercialization and shifting landscape of hip-hop culture.
