Det Blev Handgemäng - Kalla Högervindar

Facts Det blev handgemäng is unquestionably one of the more swinging bands the country has to offer. With a lineup of Bror Gunnar Jansson, Elin Engberg, Christoffer Johansson and Emanuel Svensson, they opened their 2024 with the single "Wee-Wee-Weevil", followed by singles titled "The Reaper", "He Had a Knife In His Hand" and "Tell Me". Now the time has finally come to reach the goal: an album with the timely title "Kalla Högervindar".

In the forest between Osby and Älmhult, at the dance halls around Kinnekulle, in any car between Falun and Gävle, or in the capital itself, Det blev handgemäng has left its mark. The band has played its way to becoming one of the most active acts in the americana genre in the country. The ensemble has zipped across the land in double bassist Elin's Volvo 740, and continues to do so to this day.

Deeply rooted in the American folk music tradition, described by critics as "authentic enough to convince," they keep delivering music whose inherent power is palpable. Over the eight years since their debut album, Det blev handgemäng has turned up the swing even further, embraced new nicknames, written a host of new songs and compiled the new material on the album "Kalla Högervindar".
