Ett Nytt Liv - Ett Nytt Liv

Facts Ett Nytt Liv
A mysterious find in a bank vault after the death of a relative leads on an expedition through art history. From the most meager artists' quarters of the 1930s to the finest salons today, the mystery of the bank vault seeks its solution in the present: a small, worn brown package, locked away for decades, that must not be exposed to daylight.

Following the international success of Fotbollens sista proletärer, directing duo Carl Pontus Hjorthén and Martin Jönsson are back with another story from Gothenburg. This time the subject is the Göteborgskoloristerna, the artists who, during their brief and dramatic lives, portrayed the city, the sea and the archipelago in an entirely new way. At the center stands the legendary painter Inge Schiöler.

On the expedition we meet relatives and friends of the Koloristerna, artists and poets. Featuring, among others, Tomas Tranströmer, Andreas Eriksson, Johan Cullberg, Håkan Wettre, Ann Smith, Arne Öhnell, and Krister and Ingrid Schiöler.
