Fia - Season Of Loss

Facts On "Season of Loss" we meet a new side of Fia: more stripped-back, intimate and personal than before. After the grand sound of "Keeper of the Keys," she has taken a different path: four songs recorded live, in the same room, with the full band together. The result is warm, alive and full of feeling.

Songs like "Bitter Winds" and "To Love and Be Loved" are colored by americana, folk pop and country, where pedal steel and fiddle frame Fia's honest lyrics with both precision and sensitivity. As always, storytelling is at the center, but this time it is even more direct, almost like listening to someone speak straight from the heart.

Fia writes about life's changes with a natural openness: about letting go, finding new perspectives and making room for both vulnerability and strength. There is an ease in her expression even when the lyrics touch on things that have been difficult. Here every line gets room to breathe, and that makes the music feel close, human and alive.

Recording in the old mission church outside Borlänge gives the songs a unique shimmer. Every take carries the feeling of being captured at exactly the right moment. You can hear that the musicians were fully present and that the creative process was allowed to grow organically.

With "Season of Loss," Fia shows that she can both renew her sound and keep her strong personal voice. It is an EP that touches the listener in a gentle yet clear way, and it confirms that Fia is one of our most interesting storytellers today.
