Filifin Feat. N?Gou Bagayoko - Siran

Facts Filifin's debut album, featuring the young kamélé n'goni player (a six-string traditional instrument), is an extraordinary blend of rural Malian blues and the heroic chants of bush hunters. In a duo with guitarist N'Gou Bagayoko, Filifin delivers striking songs rooted in the stories of his village in southern Mali. With force and intensity, a new kind of blues suddenly emerges... astonishing. "Rural, popular and remarkably elegant." - TGV France Magazine "Music once again goes off the beaten track, which is a good thing, and that is the label's motto." - Le Monde, Véronique Mortaigne "Filifin sings epic tales and human experiences, supported by the guitar of N'Gou Bagayoko..." - Libération, Bouziane Daoudi "Imagine the syncopation of a jazzy double bass blended with bluesy electric bass, steeped in the languid rhythms of the Sahel..." - Télérama, Eliane Azoulay
