Franklin Carolyn - Sister Soul: The Best Of The Rca Ye

Facts The first ever CD compilation of the RCA Victor recordings of Aretha Franklin's baby sister Carolyn. This CD anthologizes virtually all of Carolyn's RCA singles A's and B's as well as a hand-picked selection of the very best tracks from her albums. Features sleeve notes by David Cole, editor and publisher of the UK's most eminent all-soul magazine in the Basement and himself a huge Carolyn fan. As well as singing vocal backup for Aretha for many years and writing several of her biggest hits, Carolyn Franklin had a great voice that could be heard to excellent effect on her four RCA albums recorded between 1969 and 1976. Everyone's heard of Aretha, now it's time for "Baby Dynamite" to explode once again onto the world of soul. 23 tracks. Kent.
