Gene Vincent - The Jasmine Ep Collection

Facts This collection of classic Gene Vincent sides is drawn from EPs issued in the U.S., the U.K. and France between 1956 and 1963. Gene belongs to that select handful of R&R pioneers who shaped the genre, cutting a handful of it's defining records and presiding over some of it's earliest glories. However, he also sadly falls into the 'R&R casualties' category; routinely ripped off by managers, agents and promoters, and plagued by serious health issues, he lived in constant pain due to his severely damaged leg. Included herein are hits like 'Race With The Devil', 'Bluejean Bop', 'Who Slapped John?', 'Lotta Lovin', 'Dance To The Bop', 'Wild Cat', 'She She Little Sheila' and 'Pistol Packin' Mama'. Also featured are further landmark releases like 'Unchained Melody', 'Baby Blue', 'Rocky Road Blues', 'Git It', 'Say Mama', 'Over The Rainbow', etc.
