GOLD - Psychedelic Days

Facts New album Psychedelic Days from the legendary psych rockers GOLD takes over the music scene in 2024. Gold was formed in 1989 after a gig at CBGB's in New York. The album Magic Power was released in 1991. GOLD and UCP are said to have been pioneers in Sweden in creating power rock with a Detroit sound in the late eighties, influenced by the music of the Stooges, the Velvet Underground and MC5. In the early nineties, GOLD toured Sweden, Denmark and Germany. Venues where GOLD played included Ecstasy Club Swedish Highlights in Berlin with Union Carbide Productions, Barbue in Copenhagen, Hog Heaven, Daily News Café, Oxen, Cityhallen in Stockholm and Östra Liden, Errols, Mud Club in Gothenburg, Skylten in Linköping, Fabriken in Jönköping and other venues in the early nineties. After a three-decade hiatus, the original band members, Per Svensson on vocals and guitar, Magnus Paulsson on guitar, Mårten Eriksson on bass and Johan Bomberg on drums, are back and creating their high-energy rock sound, rising from the ashes like the phoenix. This time with guests Jörgen Wall on noise, Rasmus Alkestrand on sitar and Nova Wistedt Bomberg on backing vocals.

Six new outstanding high-energy tracks recorded at Kapsylen Studio in Stockholm, September 22-24, 2023. Mixed by the excellent J. Wall and GOLD, mastered by Claes Persson. A new beginning is a new beginning.
