Joel Burman - Lever Här (Black Vinyl LP)

Facts Growing up in Kvarnsveden in Borlänge, Joel Burman experienced things he often kept to himself. In music, he found a way to express what could not always be said out loud.

"I have always been observant and rather quiet as a person. I went through a lot of crap up close while growing up in Borlänge. I always kept it inside me, so music became a necessary outlet to get everything out. The album became a result of that."

That is also the core of "Lever Här." The album has grown out of several years of songwriting, where personal experiences, emotions and observations have been given room. Joel describes an intuitive writing process where a hook, a lyric line or a feeling sometimes comes first, and the understanding of what the song is about comes later.

Joel also has a background as an elite mountain biker, with Swedish championships and international achievements. The discipline and determination from sports have carried over into his music, but on "Lever Här" the songwriting and personal expression are what take center stage.
