Lang Lang - Prokofiev & Bartók: Piano Concertos

Facts Superstar pianist Lang Lang's first concerto album on Sony Classical unites the worlds greatest international music stars: Lang Lang, conductor Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. This highly anticipated collaboration resulted in a recording which will mark one of this year's most important classical releases. Recorded at Berlin's Philharmonie, the album presents two milestones of the 20th century piano literature: Prokofiev's explosive Piano Concerto No. 3, (one of the great show stoppers in the concert repertoire), and the Bartsk Concerto No. 2, probably the most technically challenging piece ever written for piano and orchestra. These pieces showcase Lang Lang and the orchestras unique and spectacular virtuosity and musicianship and will make any listener's jaw drop.
