Lions Share - Dark Hours

Facts Dark Hours was Lion's Share's sixth album and, as the title suggests, perhaps their heaviest yet. Nils Patrick Johansson (Astral Doors, Civil War) once again handles vocals on this album. The band has deliberately aimed for a menacing and raw tone, unleashing a veritable storm of heavy metal. Dark Hours was a positive surprise, as many bands often slow down as the years go by. Here it's exactly the opposite: through dark undertones, an energy is released that shows the band continues to walk its own path within modern power metal with melodic passages. One listen to the album is enough to appreciate what these seasoned musicians have to offer, especially if you enjoy classic heavy metal qualities: dark, melodic, catchy and menacing. Dark Hours still stands today as one of Lion's Share's strongest albums.
