Maarten Ornstein & W.A.R.P. Music Ensemble - W.A.R.P. Music

Facts (SACD-HYBRID) the 20th century wave of antiseptic experimentation through atonal and aleatoric forms has finally subsided, precipitating the defining contemporary ideals of consonant tonality and melodic linearity. These Maarten Ornstein compositions are just such 21st century storytelling music, spiced with a flavoring of avant garde inventiveness. Whether evocative of Stravinsky or Zappa, Maarten's craftsmanship in composition and execution delivers a harmonic lyricism that is both satisfying and contemplatively engaging.
