Maj-Britt Niklasson - Big Bang - Födelsen (Digipak CD)

Facts Nearly 50 years after her breakthrough with the chart-topping band Landslaget, Maj-Britt Niklasson now releases her debut album as a solo artist. The album Big Bang – födelsen was recorded and produced by Lasse Lindbom, who also sings a duet with Maj-Britt on the single Och bara väntar. In his many roles as artist, musician and producer, Lasse Lindbom is previously known from a range of musical contexts (Triad, Ulf Lundell, Marie Fredriksson, Grymlings, Gyllene Tider, etc.).

In their work on the album, Maj-Britt and Lasse recorded all the vocals, and all the instrumental overdubs on the album were done separately, with the tracks sent back and forth between their home studios, thereby creating the arrangement and production.

In the seventies, Maj-Britt Niklasson, together with Lasse Lindbom among others, was a member of the successful band Landslaget. As a full-time musician in the seventies, she also appeared on Merit Hemmingson's album Trollskog. Together with Lasse Lindbom and Janne Bark, she contributed a few years ago the song Hårda år to the compilation album Dom som aldrig ger upp – a tribute to Magnus Lindberg, which also featured Mauro Scocco, Lars Winnerbäck, Plura, Peter LeMarc, Sophie Zelmani and Louise Hoffsten. In 2023, Maj-Britt Niklasson made a comeback as a solo artist with the single Röster från Öster, which was followed up last year with Knackelibank. Both of those singles, as well as the later-released singles Ode till Långholmen and Och bara väntar, are of course included on this, her first solo album.
