Maldives - Mad Lives

Facts 2017 release. The Maldives are the primordial soul of Seattle. Going strong for 13 years - a complete generation in rock n roll years - the band plays a finely crafted form of cinematic Americana, dark in palette, heavy in vibe and diverse in instrumentation. They're veterans of Northwest stages from Sasquatch to Bumbershoot to Doe Bay Fest to the Tractor Tavern, their spiritual home. With their fourth album, Mad Lives, the mercurial seven-piece further refines it's sound, as lead singer and lyricist Jason Dodson explores a haunting form of rock 'n' roll mythology un-beholden to the past, theirs or any other.
