Facts A handsome, robust dog, Buck leads a peaceful existence with his master in California. His life is turned upside down the day he is kidnapped and sold to a sled dog dealer. Arrived in the Far North, he discovers the cold, the violence and the suffering. In this world of ice and blood, Buck gradually rediscovers his primitive instincts... This great classic of American literature was written by Jack London after his experience of a gold rush in Canada's Far North. Repatriated after suffering from scurvy, the author for several generations forges an unforgettable picture of a wild, brutal and indomitable nature.
