Rockabilly took off around 1954. The style blends gospel, blues, rhythm and blues, country, hillbilly and boogie woogie. The music was born when things started to swing on the cotton fields. Pinup fashion dates back to the 1920s and 1930s and is a big part of the culture. The style is beautiful, with dresses and up-do hairstyles for the women, and rolled-up jeans and pomade in the hair for the men. Today, the 1950s feels bigger than the 1950s did. The film follows people who live in the rockabilly style.
