ro.t - Stormens vilda fuga: dikter av Nils Ferlin (Digipak CD)

Facts Stormens vilda fuga: dikter av Nils Ferlin is the third album by folk & vistrion trio ro.t. The trio consists of singers Rebecka O'Nils and Jenny Klefbom, and singer and guitarist William Bülow O'Nils. With the exception of a version of Lille Bror Söderlundh's "Inte ens en grå liten fågel," Rebecka O'Nils, as usual, is responsible for all the compositions. William Bülow O'Nils (who, in addition to ro.t, is also active as a solo artist with his critically acclaimed interpretations of Ruben Nilson) handles all the guitar accompaniment, and apart from "Sprattla Pajazzo" and "I livets villervalla," Jenny Klefbom wrote the vocal arrangements.

As before, the music is marked by a strong focus on the poems' own form and rhythm, with a certain musical leaning toward Swedish visor and folk music. The expression is intimate and fairly stripped down, even though a larger number of guest musicians have been given space on this record.

The poems are taken from Nils Ferlin's poetry collections Goggles (1939), Från mitt ekorrhjul (1957), Med många kulörta lyktor (1944), and En döddansares visor (1930).
