Sollazzo Ensemble - Leuven Chansonnier

Facts Ten years after it's sensational discovery in a Brussels auction house, the Leuven Chansonnier emerges as one of the rarest treasures of Franco-Flemish polyphony: a tiny manuscript from ca. 1470, perfectly preserved, containing 50 exquisite chansons-twelve of them unknown from any other source. This deluxe CD box offers the first complete recording of the manuscript, presented in it's original order and brought vividly to life by the acclaimed Sollazzo Ensemble. Accompanied by a groundbreaking study of the repertoire, the release illuminates the musical world of Ockeghem, Busnoys and their contemporaries, and invites us into the refined poetic universe of the Burgundian courts.
