Spencer Rebecca - Still, Still, Still

Facts A Christmas Collector's 'Fantasia!' set in a panoramic landscape of 25 timeless hymns and classic melodies that celebrate the spirit of the Christmas season! Stylistically revealed as a chamber piece and set in a Cathedral sound scape, each arrangement is created as a tone poem, unfolding as a winter scene, all expressed through the voice and piano in harmony with the cello and soprano saxophone. This pastiche of contemporary and classical repertoire, dating from the 1800's to the 21st Century, is fused with idyllic counter melodies scored by composers from around the world, offering meditations of nostalgic Christmas memories and renewed enlightenment. At the heart of this listen is Mary's Soliloquy, a through-composed celestial journey marking Mary's quest to Bethlehem that reimagines the Christian folk song, I Wonder As I Wander with Amy Grant's Breath of Heaven. Featuring the premiere recording of Peace for Christmas Time This Year!
