Suzanne Vega - Nine Objects Of Desire

Facts In '87, Vega told the L.A. Times, "I wanted to take the folk tradition and make it contemporary..." By now, her songwriting stretches well beyond the minimalism of her earlier folk roots; her last album, the brilliant 99.9F, found her exploring electronic and industrial sounds. Her newest release captures all of the outstanding trademarks of her talent - as seductive as it is haunting, it proves that Suzanne continues to challenge herself as a songwriter. First single/video: "No Cheap Thrill"; Suzanne begins a tour in October.
