The Council Of Thirteen - Fast Lane (CD, Limited Edition)

Facts The 41st album by The Council Of Thirteen continues the progressive and classic rock sounds of the Council. 13 new epic songs written by keyboardist/composer John W. Edwards. "On The Edge Of The World" is pure progressive rock in the style of Asia or ELP. "Star Light, Star Bright" has a distinctive ELO flair. "Mea Culpa" is a song about no one being to blame in a relationship, but both accepting blame. "No More Table For One" is a song about finding a relationship that is meaningful, in the Natalie Merchant vein. "(She Broke My Heart, But) I Don't Remember Her Name" is a song about moving on to a new relationship and leaving the past behind. "Moon Over My Heart" has a Mike Oldfield/Maggie Reilly feeling. "Fast Lane" is pure female-fronted power pop. "The Girl I Used To Know" is a song about someone changing so much that you don't recognize them anymore. A very 80s-style pop tune with harmonies. For fans of Asia, ELO, Pat Benatar, Roxy Music, Patty Smyth, Genesis, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Powell, Alan Parsons Project, 10,000 Maniacs, Kansas, Styx, Lita Ford.
