The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out

Facts Dave Brubeck's essential masterpiece and one of the true best-sellers in jazz history, Time Out became such a huge success took the world by surprise, including the members of the Dave Brubeck Quartet, featuring Paul Desmond, Eugene Wright and Joe Morello. The formation took the challenge to experiment with musical forms foreign to jazz. While they experimented, one way or another, on many of their previous albums, none of them had such an ambitious concept as Time Out, which only presented tunes written in unusual time signatures. It was impossible to predict that such an unusual idea would lead to one of the bestselling jazz albums of all time. Includes the classic "Take Five."
