The Mannequins Of Death - The Mannequins Of Death

Facts Formed from the ashes of Cortex, The Mannequins of Death was founded on October 3, 2015, by original members of Cortex, TT Reuter and The Kingdom of Evol. The band made its stage debut the same day at Truckstop Alaska in Gothenburg, following the suddenly cancelled and sold-out Cortex reunion show at Film Studios on October 3, 2015. After several live shows at Klubb Död/Nalen, Babel in Malmö and the Uddevallakassetten festival, The Mannequins of Death entered the studio in 2016 and recorded this album at Studio Anfallszonen on Pusterviksgatan in Gothenburg. Uno Wall, longtime drummer of Cortex, passed away shortly after the recording in 2016, and this became his final recording. The material was mixed at Heartwork Studio in Lund from 2017 to 2019 and final-mixed during the pandemic in 2020-2021 at Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg by Hans Olsson, Per Svensson, Gerth Svensson and Henrik Venant. Mastering: Hans Olsson, Svenska Grammofonstudion. The album includes newly written songs as well as a live recording of the Liket lever classic "Levande Begravd" from Truckstop Alaska in 2015.
The Mannequins of Death release show takes place Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Skeppet in Gothenburg, with Then Comes Silence! The evening honors and remembers Uno Wall, celebrating the release of The Mannequins of Death's new LP, issued on Heartwork Records.
