Facts This 2009 two CD set containing the greatest hits of the '30s, '40s and early '50s by the most popular male close-harmony group in popular music history. The Mills Brothers combined the best elements of vaudeville, barbershop and Jazz. In addition, their 'trademark' of vocalizing instrumental effects was a sensational novelty. From the early '30s, their records sold in huge quantities, including their theme song "Goodbye, Blues". Also included are eight delightful duets in which the brothers are joined by Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, and Al Jolson. Prestige.
