Ella Ruth Institutet / Various Artists - This Is All The Snow You Get Vol. 3

Facts Ella Ruth Institutet follows up last year's success with another alternative Christmas album. The label simply asked the artists who weren't on the last one whether they wanted to write their own Christmas song for Vol. 3. The response was overwhelming, and here come 16 new Christmas tracks, 14 of which were written specifically for this album. Has any record label ever delivered this much alternative Christmas goodness in just one year?

Ever since Bob Dylan danced around the tree in a Santa hat while miming to "Must Be Santa," this year offers once again the chance to escape the bland and the predictable. Under the name "This Is All The Snow You Get Vol.3," Ella Ruth Institutet has once again curated a Christmas album, featuring 16 tracks.

With a stylistic range from ambient, indie and pop, through country, and on to pure, unvarnished folk music. The album is above all a showcase of musical breadth, but also a demonstration of how Christmas music can, and perhaps should, sound.

Represented are, among many others, artists such as I'm Kingfisher and Beatrice Rosdahl in a unique collaboration, Andi Almqvist, Bro Mesa, My Dear Companion, Linnea Lidberg and, for the first time under her own name, Bebe Risenfors. H. Self, Eric Palmqwist, Mika Häkki, Hillström & Billy, Lovi Did This, The Pistol Flowers, Johan Hammarbäck, Wall/Meirkord and The Grinch.
