Vemod undercover : boken om ABBA

Facts "Even the happier songs are melancholic at heart. We made melancholy undercover." That is how Benny Andersson originally described ABBA's music, and in Jan Gradvall's book we meet ABBA uncovered, beyond disguises and well-worn legends. It is a book that lets the details (in the music, in the human stories, in the times) explain the whole, from the band's first steps as something of a Swedish supergroup in the early 1970s to the final recording. Melancholy Undercover is a mosaic of unique stories about ABBA, but above all an unvarnished love letter, signed by one of Sweden's leading music journalists, that makes us see the band and their era with new eyes.
