William Sundman Sääf - Jag Kan Dig Aldrig Förglömma (Gatefold / Black Vinyl LP)

Facts William Sundman Sääf is one of Sweden's most interesting young vissångare – a troubadour working in the tradition after Fred Åkerström and Sven-Bertil Taube, but with an expression that is entirely his own. With strong presence, nerve and an electric stage personality, he breathes new life into the vise, not least through his acclaimed interpretations of Carl Michael Bellman.

His music moves between the period-typical and the innovative, where the 18th-century world meets a modern voice. The result is vise that feel familiar and still surprise, with artistic depth and an expression that moves you deeply.

On the vinyl release Jag kan dig aldrig förglömma, William Sundman Sääf is in his element. Here his personal Bellman interpretations get room in a warm, organic format that brings out the nuances of both voice and guitar. It is intimate, alive and full of feeling – made to be experienced on LP.

If you want to get close to the vise tradition and discover something new at the same time, this is a record to return to again and again.
