Facts Singer-songwriter and award-winning actor Alicia Witt will release her new album Between Heaven and Earth on August 28 via Thirty Tigers. Recorded in January 2026
in New York City with acclaimed musician and producer Joe Henry, the album is inspired by the enduring influence of filmmaker David Lynch, Witt's longtime collaborator, mentor, and friend.

In support of the album, Witt will also embark on a U.S. tour later this year. The newly announced run will feature selections from the album alongside songs from across Witt's catalog. Throughout Between Heaven and Earth, Witt explores themes of mystical connection, surrender, healing, nostalgia, and fate. Songs like “Love Anyway" examine love without expectation or reciprocity, while the title track embraces “childlike faith in the possibility" of connection and “insistent optimism." “Artifacts" reflects on “releasing ancient lessons that no longer serve," while “Kindred" channels “walls crumbling" and “barriers evaporating in a fabric made of light and destiny." Elsewhere, “Freeze Frame," “Test Drive," and “Blue Moon" meditate on alternate timelines, longing, and accepting the timing of life with peace and observation.

Closing the album is “The Director," a song inspired by Witt's reflections on David Lynch's impact on her creative process after the director's passing.
