Cosmic Garden Project - The Green Reverb

Facts Cosmic Garden Project is a music and art collective based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The three founders are Per Svensson (The New Alchemy, The Kingdom of Evol), Dan Söderqvist (Älgarnas Trädgård, Twice a Man) and Pontus Torstensson (Tentakel, The Exorcist GBG). They began improvising music together in late 2019. Three years later they had developed their core themes into a project that creates alternative worlds and places, presented on this double album, The Green Reverb. Key recordings were made at Silence Studio in Koppom, Värmland, together with the legendary sound engineer and producer Anders Lind. Other musicians added parts to some tracks: Lisen Rylander Löve on saxophone and Rasmus Alkestrand on sitar. The music on The Green Reverb blends several genres. There is a strong 60s psychedelia atmosphere, but also ambient, romantic, gothic and even ritual elements. The music carries a poetic vision of calling up the spirits of the Earth, fighting environmental destruction, and, like shamans, communicating with the spirit or mind of the planet, healing, surviving... being in communication with nature and all its creatures. Sounds from field recordings are mixed with organic, physical and electronic instruments.
