Henning - Konventionell Magi (Black Vinyl LP)

When Henning returns with his seventh album – the first since his major breakthrough with “Cowboy från rymden” (2024) – he stretches the boundaries even further.

“Konventionell magi” reaches towards bigger soundscapes. We encounter a more searching, challenging artist who nevertheless stays grounded and continues to “keep his eyes on everyday life”. The result is Henning’s most ambitious album to date, as well as an exposition of everything he has developed into his own musical language since his 2018 debut album. A “best-of album with new songs”, as he puts it himself.

“Konventionell magi” is also an album that chooses to pause and zoom in on the things that feel important. Whether it is a direct look at a messy family life or a feverish dream that becomes the starting point for a seven-minute song.

“Sometimes I feel more connected to the blues tradition than pop music, in the sense that I write the same song over and over again, and the task becomes digging deeper where I stand.”

“Konventionell magi” is released via Knippla Records.
